For 27 years, Mr. Gladstone and my friend Grace De Laet were mates, even though he was a cockatiel. They cooed and sang to each other through sickness and in health. Both have since passed on, but I imagine they have found each other by now, somewhere, somehow. This picture was a present to them and she hung it next to his extravagant digs.
