Artist's Comments:
This was based on one of my favorite Beatle's songs, “Blackbird,” caws I admire the cleverness and playfulness of ravens, crows and magpies. In fact, studies have shown that magpies are “self aware,” like certain other mammals including gorillas, chimpanzees, bottle-nosed dolphins and elephants.
