Artist's Comments:
In my mid teens, I had a young East Indian Forest Owl. I named him Orb and took him with me everywhere. He would fly to me when I called him and ever so gently nibble on my eyelashes. I loved him dearly but my dad made me give him away. Fortunately I found him a great new family. Orb taught me a valuable lesson—wild animals should remain wild.
