Artist's Comments:
During the rainy season, the Amazon floods the forest and the endangered pink river dolphins glide among the trees. If the water wasn’t so murky, it might look like this. (The hand at the bottom is mine, of course.) A year after I painted this, I was invited by an environmental group to go there and swim with the dolphins and help raise public awareness of their plight.
